As a lover of all things zodiac, I feel the need to know every aspect about my sign. What are my traits, who am I compatible with, what is my constellation, and what is my birth stone? But every time I go searching for a stone that represents my zodiac - I get a different answer, and I bet many other people do too. So I am here to tell you your birth stone, your birth crystal, and the difference between the two.
Let’s start with birth stones. A stone, by definition, is a solidified mineral which is made into rock. It is something made organically. Historically, birth stones are meant to be a representation of your personality, they are based off your characteristics which is why they generally match your zodiac so well.
A crystal, in terms of science, is a formation of atoms and molecules that arrange themselves in a regular pattern, creating a crystal. But most of the time crystals are classified by their shape. Birth Crystals aren’t so much a representation of your zodiac - but more of the month itself that you were born in. So, depending if you're a May Gemini or June Gemini, you could have the same Birth Stone as someone else, but differing Birth Crystals.
For instance, you could be born May 29th and have a Pearl Birthstone (the stone of gemini) along with a Chrysoprase Birth Crystal, the crystal of May. You could have someone who is born June 3rd and have a Pearl Birthstone (the stone of Gemini) but with a Moonstone Birth Crystal, for June.
